Float

Privacy policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

Float is a shared ledger for one invited household. This page says what Float keeps, why, who else handles it, and how to delete it.

What Float keeps

Float has no ads, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Who else handles it

Who can see your data

Your household's treasurer sees the household's shared records. Other members see the shared expenses they are part of. Your private pages under Me are yours alone.

Deleting your account

In Float, open Settings, then Account, then Delete account. Your sign-in, email and private data are deleted. Shared expenses stay so that other people's balances don't change, and show you as "Former member". If the treasurer deletes their account, the whole household's data is deleted. Backups that still hold deleted data roll off within 90 days.

Children

Float is not meant for children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it, and the app links to the current version.
